More fossils to be discovered soon at Ashfall Fossil Beds State Historical Park

LINCOLN, NE
A groundbreaking event marks construction of a new 17,200 square-feet facility to allow the excavation and protection of many more fossils buried there.
The new enclosed facility will expand the current facility by eight times and will enable paleontologists to discover more fossils while enhancing the experiences for visitors to the park. In recognition of the family's support, the facility will be named the Hubbard Rhino Barn.

Ashfall Fossil Beds Named National Natural Landmark

WASHINGTON DC
Acting Interior Secretary Lynn Scarlett announced the designation of Ashfall Fossil Beds as a National Natural Landmark (NNL) in Antelope County, Neb., the first NNL to be designated in more than 18 years.
